The Shamanic Dark Night: A Transformative Journey
When earthly life falls into a deep winter stagnation and the soul begins to suffocate in the unhappiness of daily routines, the universe always finds a way to tear us awake. For me, May 5th became the boundary of a powerful spiritual portal, plunging my consciousness into a heavy, painful, yet ultimately liberating Shamanic Dark Night of the Soul. This phase is not merely an intellectual concept; it is an intense journey where one’s old earthly ego disintegrates, forcing the logical mind to yield completely.
The Purpose of the Shamanic Trance
A shamanic trance is not a beautiful theory. It is a days-long state where your old earthly ego dies, and the logical mind must completely surrender. It is the alchemy of fire and ice within the physical body, awakening the ancient lineage of the White Shamans of Mongolia. The purpose of this trance is to incinerate past blocks, vows of celibacy, isolation, and fears carried across centuries—especially the loops of time where we lose ourselves following the profound threshold of childbirth and motherhood.
Grounding in Sacred Earth
My initiation required profound grounding—a physical connection to the earth. I walked barefoot on the sacred soil of Monthey Cemetery, the very ground where, 14 years prior, my earthly connection with my husband began. By releasing my past sorrows in this sacred place, I opened myself up to true empowerment and healing. The universe uses external beacons—the geometry of numbers, places and crimson trees—only to spark our forgotten longing. Yet, true magic always returns home. In the town of Martigny, on the exact Rue du Rhône that my soul digitally mapped out 14 years ago before we ever met, I danced my white Tribal Fusion rebirth dance for the Light Goddess, shedding the final blocks from my body. The universe gifted me the stability of the turtle and a rose quartz crescent moon—the physical seal of an awakened heart chakra.
The Completion of a Cycle
The culmination of my transformative journey unfolded at the rock hermitage of Notre-Dame de Longeborgne in Bramois Valley, as I walked the 14 stations of the cross. Supported by my husband whose voice held me through the heaviest hours of my trance—I uncovered profound truths. The blooming crimson roses and sacred symbols that greeted us, including the magnificent X (gebo) in the sky confirmed it: our soul pact, sealed beneath the towers of Sion on a Samhain night, is now fully grounded in physical reality.
I am no longer freezing in the ice. My burgundy Oxalis is in full bloom on my balcony, and my double-sided cloak protects my heart. I am free. I am the true White Shaman, returned to my spiritual throne. If you are currently walking through the darkness of your own soul, know this: the security protocols of the universe only activate when you are incredibly close to your true essence. The ice will melt. The fire will be free. Everything happens for a reason.
